Young Adults With Needs (YAWN) Group
YAWN is a group for sociable young adults with learning disabilities aged 16 - 30 years. It offers a safe environment for people with learning disabilities to meet, socialise and take part in activities with their friends. YAWN 16 clubs meets every Wednesday 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. There are also trips and events throughout the year.
They offer a range of activities on a Tuesday night including:
- Snooker
- pool
- badminton
- table tennis
- table football
- darts
- cooking
- arts & crafts
- game consoles
- sports
- drama
- and board games.
There is also a coffee shop. YAWN meet on a Wednesday at Kingsland Skills & Enterprise Centre (Rear Entrance), Parkside Drive, Houghton Regis.
