About The Local Offer
This Local Offer sets out in one place what support and services are available for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The information will include how to access services and organisations for Children and Young People with SEND from birth to 25 years.

What is the Local Offer?
Our Local Offer has been designed and developed by a range of professionals from both Children’s and Adult services including
- education
- health
- social care
- SNAP Parent Carer Forum (PCF)
- voluntary and community groups
The Local Offer will include information on services that are available to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) from birth to 25 including:
- Education services (Early Years providers, schools, colleges and training)
- Health services
- Social care services
- eligibility for specialist services
- how to obtain an education, health and care plan and the process
- preparing for adulthood
- leisure and recreation opportunities
- arrangements for transport and travel
- sources of information and support in the area
- child care, including suitable provision for disabled children and those with SEN
- arrangements for resolving disagreements and mediation and how to make a complaint

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
The Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) in Central Bedfordshire 2021 focuses on children and young adults aged 0-25 years who are residents of, or who are educated within, Central Bedfordshire.
The JSNA aims to provide Central Bedfordshire SEND Partnership Board, departments with responsibility for commissioning and service delivery and local leaders with an up to date understanding of the needs of local children and young adults with SEND.

SEND Partnership Dashboard
The Central Bedfordshire SEND Partnership dashboard will allow users to navigate information underpinning the outcome domains alongside a local profile of Central Bedfordshire. The outcome domains listed have been identified through co-production with a number of partners and organisations, including children and young people with SEND.
