Who is the Young Person’s Wellbeing Navigator Service for?

  • Individuals aged 16-25 living in or attending an education setting in Central Bedfordshire
  • Individuals looking for support with their wellbeing and mental health

The service is designed to be preventative and people wishing to access it may be:

  • Going through life transitions (for eg: but not limited to: school to college, college to University, moving home, starting/losing  employment, becoming financially independent, experiencing trauma, changes to personal relationships, changes to social care support, changes to health & medical support)
  • Wanting proactive support throughout a challenging time in their life.
  • Looking for preventative support to improve independence and increase understanding of how to positively self manage their wellbeing and mental health.

What can you expect?

  • Wellbeing and mental health support – in an agreed location, date and time to suit you
  • Up to 8 x 1 hour, one-to-one sessions – with a trained Wellbeing Navigator, appointments available face to face, online or by phone
  • Support – to identify and overcome barriers and/or areas impacting wellbeing
  • Co production – of a personalised support/action planemailed after every session
  • Encouragement – to take practical steps to reach identified goals
  • Exploration  – of personal unique strengths and abilities and how to utilise these to improve wellbeing and mental health
  • Tips, Tools & Tricks – to learn positive mental health coping strategies, resilience skills and distress tolerance
  • Advice, Guidance & Signposting – about other services available in the area
  • A Personalised Toolkit – upon completion of support

Availability

Referral Details

Anyone 16-25 living in or attending an education setting in Central Bedfordshire can refer themselves directly into the service

Or

with the individuals consent a referral can be completed on their behalf by third party such as a GP, mental health worker, teacher/tutor, support worker, or friend/family member.
